About the Author

Hi readers, this is James. As of June, 2022, I have an 11-month-old son and a supportive wife who is also a wonderful mother. I currently work full-time as an Assistant Nurse Manager, and have been in healthcare since 2009. I started writing as a hobby in 2010, when I taught myself how to write a formatted screenplay while working as an evening receptionist for an assisted living home. I wrote my first one, start to finish in three days, called Outlaws, which is a mix of inspiration from Firefly and Outlaw Star. After that, I wrote a screenplay trilogy, called ApenVeil Industries, which takes inspiration from the Fallout stories. I then began outlining an epic fantasy novel trilogy, which is now known as the Versetyl Saga. I researched, planned, and wrote about 50,000 words of the story before shelving it for a decade once I began my journey into the RN field in earnest. I picked it back up in October of 2021, three months after almost losing both him and my wife in labor. That experience caused me to reprioritize my life, and, with the help of my wife and my mother, who has been proofreading, I finished the last chapter of "The Compassionate" in January, 2022, and finished several revisions by mid-March, 2022.

I am excited to finalize my first completed novel and have already jumped right into the next (currently working on chapter 9 of "The Corrupt"). I have plans to expand my vision of the multiverse beyond the current trilogy, with old and new characters, and entirely new adventures inside my interpretation of the multiverse that I envisioned twelve years ago.

My writing style is highly dialogue driven, and involves detailed character development. With my multiverse, I've created an opportunity for myself to delve into any idea that I think deserves exploring, including any kind of universe or world or species that could possibly exist outside of our own universe's laws. I've also created an alternative history of existence, itself, that explains the 'whys' for everything we think we know.

Outside of writing and work, my wife and I have two cats and a dog, we enjoy the weather and nature of the Pacific Northwest, and we look forward to taking our son on the endless adventures we have enjoyed in our lives, as well as all the new ones we're sure to encounter.

I know the "Versetyl Saga" books are long, but that's only because they're filled with unique characters and locations. I hope you all take the chance on reading my work, and joining me on my journey to create a sprawling collection of books with unlimited possibilities.

I look forward to the day that I can focus on my family as my first priority, with writing as a close second, as it is my passion. Thank you for reading this, and I hope to read comments and reviews from all of you in the future.
